A TZS 70 billion (USD 28 million) Green Sukuk by Hungarian based company, is about to be issued soon.
The project will be for construction of a Solar plant in Pemba to address shortage of electricity faced in the island despite an undersea cable from Tanga tapping into Tanzania mainland vast Hydro electricity capacity.
Yusra Sukuk Company Limited is on the verge of signing a Sukuk structuring and issuance contract agreement hopefully by the end of this month.
